Sustainability that looks good
EarthTatva makes sustainable everyday products โ bamboo alternatives, organic homeware, natural personal care. The brief was to create a brand that could sit comfortably in premium retail environments while communicating genuine sustainability credentials.
The challenge: avoiding greenwashing aesthetics while still standing out on a physical shelf.
Process
Material-first design
We started with the materials โ spending time at the production facility understanding the textures, processes, and stories behind each product. That grounding informed every design decision: uncoated paper stocks, minimal ink coverage, earthy but contemporary typography.
Packaging prototypes were tested in-store before finalising.

Outcome
On shelf
The brand launched across 40+ retail stores in India and an e-commerce presence. The packaging system won a mention in a regional sustainable design showcase. Return customer rate reached 42% within the first six months.
