Unacademy's educators create thousands of hours of live and recorded content. The Educator Pod was a focused initiative to redesign the tools educators use to prepare, teach, and review their sessions.

The stakes were high: any friction in the educator experience directly impacts learning quality for millions of students.

We shadowed 12 top educators across three weeks, mapping every touchpoint — pre-session prep, live teaching tools, post-session analytics review. What emerged was a clear picture of where the current tools were creating cognitive load.

The redesign focused on reducing context-switching and bringing the most critical information forward at the right moments.

Prototype testing with 20 educators showed a 35% reduction in time spent navigating the teaching interface. Educator satisfaction score improved from 3.2 to 4.4 out of 5. The new pod experience was rolled out to 10,000+ educators on the platform.
